The Jacks - The Last Of The Real American Heroes

The Jacks - The Last Of The Real American Heroes. Ep 1999, Haunted Town Records

THE LAST OF THE REAL AMERICAN HEROES

Now it´s time to find the truth for yourself
It´s no hidden in a dusty book or buried on some shelf
It´s what they broke their backs for fighting on foreign lands
In the old cities of Europe and the stories of Japan

The last of the real american heroes

His name´s not on a wall but it´s filed in a shelter hall
You will never understand of the stories by hand
You will never learn the lesson told by those who taught
But only by who marched in battle served our country and fought

TONIGHT

Tonight we´re gonna go out on the streets
The feelings just so right it can´t be beat
Waiting all week for this time to come
Now we´re set to have some fun

Waiting all day for this time to come
Now it just seems like we´re on the run

Going to the show a little drunk
Go in the show gonna have some fun
A place where Skins and Punks can get along
Shout of unity when they sing theur songs

GUITAR GANGSTER

Everybody´s talking about revoltion
No one wants to know the final solution

Walk hand in hand with the boys on the job
Standing up with his battle songs
Backed up by numbers strong
Shouting for the workers to belong

This idea it isn´t fly by night
We won´t stop until there´s a fight

Got sidetracked thrown off his key
Be damn sure he´d rescue me
Six gun shooter strapped to his back
Shooting out riffs into attack

DEAD MEN TELL NO TALES

A pint of whiskey breaks at floor as silence soon begins
The man that helped them oh so much is thrown into a river
And like the tales that told of generations to come
The battle had casualty by the war isn´t won
The battle still continues through time
Exploitation is our meeting ground
A man is dead he fought for what he believed
A patron to all he´s remembered on our sleeves

Don´t tell no tales
Cause when a man is dead he don´t talk at all

He was tired of being pushed around for too many years
So he waged a war upon his boss living in constant fear
He made known of the facts that kept him down
Backed up by his workers a united town
A mothers emotions are hidden through ablack vail
The boss acts as nothings happened does he even care
Theworkers are still fighting for what they demand
But will they end up dead just like the rest of them.
